Objectives:
· Describe role of DBT skills training in comprehensive treatment.
· Identify key components of DBT skills training and skills modules.
· Develop strategies to incorporate families into skills training groups
· Identify techniques and strategies to consider when implementing a DBT program with teens and their families.

The Implications of Domestic Violence
on MentalHealth
(4 CORE CEU Hours)
This training is targeted to Metropolitan Atlanta law enforcement, victim advocates, victim services, military, rape counselors, therapists, case managers and nurses. The objective of this training is to provide training and education in order to build capacity among advocates, organizations and communities committed to preventing domestic violence.

Play Therapy for children with Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety comes in many shapes and sizes, PTSD, OCD, Separation Anxiety, Selective Mutism, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Specific Phobias will all be addressed using practical, fun and empiracally informed Play Therapy strategies. Leave with new tools for fighting the many faces of fear in our clients.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is based on the Cognitive Model of Emotional Response. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things like people, situations,and events. The benefit of this fact is that we can change the way we think, to feel/act better, even if the situation does not change. This workshop will consisit of the following:
Introduction to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
· CBT's combination of cognitive restructuring and behavioral modification
· CBT's 12 basic principles
· Implications for therapists, officers, supervisors and other social services staff
Shaping New Thinking
· The self-defeating cycle and self-fulfilling nature of irrational thought patterns and consequential behavior
· A basic approach to restructuring new thinking in offenders with a history of substance abuse, mental health problems, and low self-control
· Experiencing an intervention - an exercise in how irrational thinking can be reshaped
Positive Reinforcement and Contingency Management
· The use of social and other reinforcements to shape thinking and behavior

Ethics Workshop: "Helping the Helper:
The Ethics of Healing the Self"

Participants will gain insight from a well-known expert in the mental health field, Dr. Karen McCleskey, LPC. Through a series of interactive and reflective exercises, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate their personal and professional self-care habits and how they relate to setting clinical policies, boundaries....and more!

These workshops will provide the following:
· Gain a foundational knowledge of child sexual abuse and exploitation and its prevalence within the community.
· Learn how to recognize child victims of sexual abuse and exploitation and those who are at risk.
· Learn investigative and interviewing techniques for high risk child victims of prostitutuin and trafficking.
· Intervene appropriately with and compassionately serve victims including providing essential services.

| Crisis Prevention & Intervention (Trauma Based) |
This training is based on trauma-informed care principles, and focuses on models designed to minimize or eliminate the need for physical restraint, and includes prevention, de-escalation, crisis management, and trauma sensitive interventions. Facilitated by a well-known Trainer and Wellness Consultant, and Health Educator, Michael Dillard tailors this Crisis training to fit the specific needs of the populations (of mental behavioral health) that we serve. The curriculum includes:
- Non-Violent Crisis management principles
- Psycho-physiology of stress, anger, and trauma
- Personal/staff violence prevention and intervention, and
- Critical review of Adverse Incidents
